研究所结合大数据和人工智能等新型应用和各种新型异构硬件对系统软件的需求，开展核心基础软件相关研究。主要开展系统软件、软硬件协同设计、编译优化和量子人工智能等方向的研究，并结合产业界需求，进行科研成果转化和落地。
一、主要研究方向
系统软件方向：研究所结合操作系统技术发展趋势，开展系统软件相关研究，主要包括智能操作系统架构、智能存储系统和高效虚拟化技术。
软硬件协同设计方向：研究所针对当前的体系结构发展趋势，开展面向领域专用软硬件协同的体系结构研究，包括面向领域应用的体系结构特性分析技术、体系结构仿真技术以及面向新型应用的并行优化技术研究等。
编译优化方向：研究所结合编译技术的发展趋势和产业界的需求，开展新型编译优化技术的研究，并结合新型AI技术，研究智能编译技术。主要包括Java虚拟机技术、动态二进制翻译技术和面向深度学习的编译优化技术等。
量子人工智能方向：研究所结合量子技术的发展趋势，开展量子人工智能相关研究，主要包括量子机器学习、量子启发算法和量子仿真等。
